Here at Northwood, we’re passionate about giving back to our community. Marking our 15th year in business, we’re pledging our support to supporting at least 15 local charities in the North East with 12 volunteering day and 3 fundraising events.
Our next session in May will see us lending a helping paw (or hoof!) at the brilliant Halfpenny Farm Animal Sanctuary, a haven for rescued animals run by the dedicated husband-and-wife team, Mike and Louise.
Mike and Louise have opened their hearts and home to countless animals in need. From playful goats to friendly pigs and many (many!) birds, Halfpenny Farm provides a loving sanctuary for these creatures who might otherwise have nowhere to turn. Their dedication is truly inspiring, and we’re delighted to offer our support.
Fiona, one of our own animal-loving colleagues at Northwood, is coordinating this volunteer session. Here’s what she has to say about the upcoming visit:
“I’m so excited to be heading to Halfpenny Farm with the Northwood team! As a huge animal lover myself, I can only imagine the hard work and dedication that goes into running a sanctuary. The opportunity to give back and help care for these animals in any way we can is just brilliant. I can’t wait to meet Mike, Louise, and all the furry (and feathered!) friends!”
