Northwood Aberdeen launches inaugural roadshow for North-east Landlords at RGU

Leading Aberdeen lettings agency Northwood has launched its inaugural annual roadshow for landlords, lettings agents, investors and anyone with an interest in property, which will take place on Wednesday, 25 June at The Robert Gordon University.

Unlocking Opportunities: The Roadshow for North-East Landlords is a free educational event and is tailored for busy, proactive landlords across the North-east looking to stay ahead in a fast-changing market.

Designed to share best practice, explore current economic and property trends, and equip landlords with the knowledge they need to manage tenancies successfully from start to finish, the roadshow promises to be an insightful and valuable opportunity for anyone invested in the region’s private rental sector (PRS).

Northwood Operations Director Matt Pullinger said the event will become an annual fixture in the City’s property calendar.

“There is huge investment potential in the North-east, and our goal with this roadshow is to provide landlords with the tools, knowledge and network to succeed,” said Matt.

“We’re committed to supporting high standards in the PRS while encouraging responsible, well-informed property investment.”

The event will be hosted by experienced MC/Compere Steven J Innes, with introductions by both Matt and Laura Mearns, Northwood Founder and Director, who will introduce the following line-up of expert speakers from throughout the region:

  • Frankie Bishop, Client Relations Manager at SafeDeposits Scotland, who brings more than19 years of lettings experience. Frankie will share insights on deposit protection, compliance, and training for landlords.
  • Eilidh Mackay, Senior Housing Officer at Aberdeenshire Council, who will provide a practical guide to the Landlord Registration process, including essential documentation and compliance checks.
  • Elspeth Boyle, Director of Landlord Accreditation Scotland, who has been a key advocate for raising standards in the PRS for over 25 years. Elspeth will explore the value of accreditation and training in maintaining best practice across the sector.
  • David Gibbons-Wood, Senior Lecturer in Economics at The Robert Gordon University.

With a combination of market insights, practical workshops, and expert-led discussions, the roadshow will cover everything from economic trends affecting landlords in the North-east to ensuring legal compliance and fostering professional development.

Spaces at the roadshow are limited so to book your place by signing up through Eventbrite.
