Over 20000 pounds raised in one evening
Luton Hoo played host to the inaugural Tyler ReaderCharity Ball & Auctionon Saturday 12th November in memory of Tyler Reader – a gorgeous little boy who was tragically taken from his family in November 2015 after falling ill with Sepsis. The event was held to raise awareness for the condition and to raise money for the Tyler Reader Brighter Future Fund in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
In what was a very emotional evening for the family of Tyler, the whole event proved to be a huge success! The Auction raised substantial funds to support the great work that Great Ormond Street Hospital does to help children in need. In a lively Auction, the star of the show was undoubtedly the 6 ft, stuffed Lion which sold for an incredible £600. And who, at the end of the night, took an unlikely turn on the dance floor!
The final tally reached over £21,000 – an incredible amount to raise in one evening and demonstrating the generosity of those present for an extremely worthy cause.
