Mhairi has recently started a new chapter as a Trainee Property Assistant at Northwood North East as part of her Summer Placement 2026, and it’s already shaping up to be an exciting experience.
Alongside her studies in Politics with English at the University of Aberdeen, she’ll be working three days a week with the team, gaining hands-on experience of a completely new industry.
Although Mhairi has never worked in property before, she applied to Northwood because she ‘wanted to experience a professional environment and explore the property sector as a potential career path’. The majority of her time will be spent working in our offices in Inverurie and Banchory.
Mhairi is already very much one of the team and has been made to feel very welcome by colleagues and clients alike.
She said: “My day-to-day role is definitely varied, from admin and reception duties to helping with property viewings and getting involved in project work; every day brings something different, and I’m enjoying the chance to learn new skills while supporting customers.
“I’m very much looking forward to seeing what the rest of the summer brings.”
