The Northwood team headed to Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh earlier this week for Scottish Letting Day, the largest annual gathering of letting professionals in Scotland.
Juliet and Scott from Aberdeen, as well as Lewis, Stuart, Cammy, Nicola and Claire from Northwood Edinburgh, hosted a stand at the flagship annual conference and exhibition organised by SAL (Scottish Association of Landlords), which attracted more than 650 delegates, guests and exhibitors.
Juliet described the day as ‘busy, but productive’ with a lot of visitors to the Northwood stand.
€œThere was a real buzz around the exhibition. It was great to have so many like-minded agents in the one room, no-one battling for business but just listening to what each other is doing, learning about legislation updates and the latest news from the industry.
€œSome of the standouts from the day included chatting to the various suppliers and hearing about the new and different technology that can help expand our offering to clients.€
There was a wide-ranging programme of sessions for both landlords and letting agents, with high profile speakers covering topics from the First-tier Tribunal, PRS legal update, and analysis of the Scottish letting market.
Bitesize training sessions with Landlord Accreditation Scotland covered the issuing of rent notices, property ownership and tax planning. There was also a live recording of Landlord Voice, SAL’s podcast featuring a Question Time-style debate chaired by Stephen Jardine.
