Charity Drive

Here at Northwood Wrexham we have some exciting news – we are proudly sponsoring the Wrexham Maelor Lions Club throughout their coast to coast charity drive!

The drive will commence on the 11th May 2019 at 08.00am from Wrexham Guild Hall. In a 1963 Wolseley 1500, two members of the Lions Crew, Luke Kettlewell and Richard Huelin, will be waved goodbye by a local crowd and the Mayor of Wrexham. The Lions will then set off on their journey, accompanied by other classic cars for the first few miles.

The Wrexham Maelor Lions Club was founded in 1963, the same year the Wolseley 1500 was manufactured, the club has since offered both time and monetary support within the local community. Alongside annual events organised by the Lions they have annual commitments to various projects benefitting the likes of under privileged children, the elderly, vulnerable individuals and many more.

The charity drive commencing on the 11th May 2019 aims to promote the Lions Clubs International, whilst raising funds to be used throughout the many projects supported by the club.

When you see the Wolseley out on the charity drive, look out for our name sponsoring the classic vehicle!!
