Covid-19 Northwood Aberdeen update

The health and wellbeing of our customers and staff are of paramount concern at this unprecedented time. We’re doing everything we legally can to help our customers & employees during the COVID-19 outbreak. If you need to speak to us it may take longer than usual to respond due to the volume of calls and emails we are receiving, we promise we will get back to you as soon as we can.

From 5th January 2021 we have entered temporary lockdown restrictions in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, with a review date of 31st January 2021.

We have put in place the below measures to ensure that all services can operate at present in line with government guidance. We are closely monitoring the situation on a daily basis, for further information please get in touch on 01224 218450.

Scottish Government main extract 21/12/20:

Travel within Scotland and between Scotland and the rest of the UK is permitted in connection with moving home (which includes viewing a property), or for activities in connection with the maintenance, purchase, sale, letting or rental of a residential property that the person owns or is otherwise responsible. People can continue to move home in all protection levels, and to and from areas with different levels.

Office Access & Opening Hours

Temporary Lockdown 5th January to 31st January 2021 (provisional date for review): Please note the office door will be locked and access to the office will be by appointment only in line with government guidance.

You can still call the office during our normal opening times to speak to the team and also in an emergency when the office is shut on 01224 218450. You can chat to us online 24 hours a day via our web-site.

Mon – Wed:        9.30am – 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm – 5 pm

Thurs:                   10.30am – 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm – 5 pm

Fri:                          9.30am – 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm – 4 pm

Landlords & Vendors

Virtual and in person property appraisals continue to be possible in all protection levels and in line with government guidance. We are still in a position to market properties for sale or let and we are still very busy arranging viewings for prospective purchasers and tenants. We would be pleased to arrange a face to face or virtual appointment to discuss your requirements.

Sales & Lettings Property Viewings & Applications

Due to current government guidelines in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual viewings remain the safest way to view a property and are encouraged by the government. We have videos available on our web-site via the virtual tour button.

If you wish to apply please e-mail and we will send out an application to your email address through Adobe Sign which allows you to fill in an application electronically.

We will also offer a live video viewing service to ensure face to face contact is kept to a minimum and ensure the safety of all.

Viewings in person will continue to be permitted in all protection levels providing a virtual tour has been completed in the first instance. All viewers must complete our Let & Sell Safe document prior to viewing in person. All viewings are by appointment only.

Where a property is tenanted, video and virtual viewings will be promoted until the property becomes vacant. Physical viewings will only be permitted when the property becomes vacant.


Temporary Lockdown 5th January to 31st January 2021 (provisional date for review): Housing services are essential services and work in other people’s homes should only be undertaken if it cannot be delayed and appropriate safety measures can be implemented.

You must inform us if you are self-isolating or display symptoms of covid-19 and any other pertinent property access details. Please note emergencies and maintenance will still be dealt with and in line with government guidance for the health of all concerned. Note that there may be delays to the delivery of certain appliances and tenancy issues taking a little longer than usual to resolve, we appreciate your patience. Additional measures are being taken with regards to contractors and other people entering your property. All third-party suppliers have been contacted and asked to follow the latest government and NHS advice. Please note only essential and emergency maintenance is permitted during tier 4 restrictions.


Temporary Lockdown 5th January to 31st January 2021 (provisional date for review): the office door will be locked and keys can be delivered/retrieved by arrangement via our letterbox.

All other times, access to the office will be monitored in line with government guidance and PPE should be worn at all times.
