What is an EPC?
Almost all properties for sale or rent in the UK are required by law to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). Newly built properties will also require an EPC and this will be provided by the builder.
The EPC is produced by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) who visits the property and undertakes a detailed assessment of its energy efficiency and environmental impact. They will make recommendations for suggested improvements to the property that will improve the energy efficiency and environmental impact of the property, including carbon emissions. They produce a graph showing the current rating and the potential rating should the improvements be implemented.

Who can help me to get an EPC?
Northwood consultants will be able to arrange for the production of an EPC if you do not already have one. It will need to be ordered prior to the commencement of marketing your property for sale.
Please ask for further information about how we can do this for you and the fees involved.
